Chinook Multimedia Inc. | 2009 to 2011

Senior Web Developer, Technical Lead, and Lead Programmer. My responsibilities are to design, develop, and maintain large-scale websites, and databases.

In addition to my role with Chinook Multimedia, I have brought forth my separate skillset of Search Engine Optimization (SEO), improving traffic to the websites.

SEO has now become a key selling point for Chinook Multimedia, and with the recent WEB2.0 redesign of our own website our rankings in search engines have jumped from Page 150 to Page 2 in the SERPs.

    • Role: Technical Lead, and Sole Programmer
    • Work: Double website package. Slicing using Photoshop and styling (HTML/CSS) of the GUI (template). The setup, and customization of the Joomla CMS and integrate Google Blogger components as Joomla modules.
    • Feature: Development of a bridge connection between the two websites to handle double logins and double publishing of new webpages for the client.
    • Award: First place winner in Top 10 Best Symphony Orchestra Websites in Canada.

    • Role: Technical Lead, and Sole Programmer
    • Work: New website. Slicing and styling of the GUI. The setup, and customization of the Joomla CMS and development of a custom multilingual system to handle multiple languages for the website.
    • Feature: I developed a custom multilingual system to work for both content, and modules of the Joomla CMS. This custom multilingual system also delivers on some of our SEO needs.

    • Role: Technical Lead, and Sole Programmer
    • Work: New website. Slicing and styling of the GUI. The setup, and customization of the Joomla CMS and development of a quiz system for people to logon the website and fill out the quiz for their course.
    • Feature: I developed a custom multiple-choice quiz system to handle one-to-many number of questions and can be categorized into categories. I also built a reports system along side of the quiz system to provide stats on the quizzes, questions, answers, etc.
